Junkin in Germany

Today is junkin day! Several times a year in Germany there are days, much like bulk pick up days in the states, that Germans can put anything they want out by the curb for pick up. There will be couches, mattresses, dressers, picture frames, you name it just sitting by the side of the road. It's a tradition here to drive around and see what goodies you can grab. I have friends that have found beautiful furniture with nothing wrong with it. I've always wanted to participate but end up missing it. I'm not sure when the truck will pick everything up, or if I'll have access to the car during the day tomorrow so I took a little drive tonight. I was hoping for some vintage picture frames which I didn't find but I was pretty happy with what I brought home. A big thanks to Thanks to Household 6 Diva for reminding me!

I think I'll change the fabric inside...

I love these as props in photos

The stickers from all over are my favorite part.

These need some cleaning up but super excited. I already have 2 of these!

Have you been junking? What did you find? If not you better hurry. The next junkin day isn't until July 2nd! (Click here for the schedule)

  1. I love it all! I especially love the suitcase! My mom still has the set we use to take on trips with us when I was a kid. I have seen on Pinterest where people have covered in paper and even spray painted. Depending on the condition that would work, but for the one you found, its great the way it is! The travel stickers are awesome! Great find I must say!! I love running across cool finds!!
