Foreign money

Do you have a problem when you go to the store to pay for something and have to sort through 4 different currencies to find the right money to pay for something? I finally decided to take everything but dollars and Euros our of my purse so it would be a little less confusing! (After all the Eis truck will take Euro or dollars but he wasn't too thrilled when I offered to pay with polish coins ha ha!)

Köln, Germany

On the drive home from the Netherlands we decided to stop in Köln, Germany and spend the night.  This was definitely a GREAT last minute decision. The hotel we stayed in was fantastic and within walking distance of the Hohenzollern Bridge (the love lock bridge) and Dom Cathedral. I was lucky my husband had an extra lock along that we scratched out name into and left on the bridge. I have been wanting to do that for such a long time :) The city is so old and beautiful it reminded me a LOT of Paris.

Next to the cathedral is the Ludwig Museum and down the river a short ways was the "Schokoladenmuseum" (chocolate museum). Right outside the chocolate museum was an Easter Market!! My husband bought me a vintage suitcase to add to my collection and put a perfect ending on our vacation before heading home.

Our trip to the Keukenhof in Holland

I just wanted to share some of the fun times and beautiful things we saw during our trip to Holland. We stayed at NH Leeuwenhorst in Noordwijkerhout and took advantage of their Keukenhof package.  I was extremely happy and wouldn't have minded staying another night but the hotel was booked. The hotel was near the gardens, the seaside, and it just smelled amazing outside with all the flower fields growing on either side of the road. For info click here.

There were plenty of things for our daughter to do too! There was a playground, a petting zoo, things to climb on, boat rides, playhouses! I'm sure there was more that we didn't even get to see.

 I LOVE this place!
